 1. Childhood illnesses

All children experience common illnesses like coughs, colds and chickenpox: they are all part of growing up. The NHS have published a guide to childhood illnesses that all parents may find helpful. This leaflet can be downloaded from their website or using the link below.

If your child has an illness that causes vomiting and / or diarrhea, they must stay off from school for at least 48 hours. This prevents the illness spreading to other children and staff in school.

 

2. Online Safety Information for Parents

The internet, social media and gaming online can be a lot of fun for children, but can also be unsafe and frightening. Children need to learn how to use information technology safely and this requires parental knowledge and supervision. To help parents stay up-to-date with changes in technology, there are now a range of organisations and website that can help parents navigate the internet, set safety restrictions on devices and be informed about the enormous number of apps that are available to download.
